What is your opinion on the trend of unique name spellings?
Things like Jezzyka, Abbergale, Haidynn, Lillee. What do you think?
What is your opinion on the trend of unique name spellings?
it depends on the name, my daughter is called Aimee but we chose to spell it that way rather than the usual way of Amy. its not like we made it up like some people make up spellings which can look rediculous. being different is nice but the name has a lot to do with it. noone i have known spells their name aimee just amy so i see it as more unique but not like the names you have stated.

We have chosen the name Thalion Megil for our son but we have run across the problem of how to shorten it for a nick name. Our other son's name is Beleg and we call him Bell.

I would call him either Thal or Tal. The "th" sound in a first name often gets changed to a "t" in a nickname. Take Nathan/Nate, Anthony/Tony, and Arthur/Art as examples.
Edit: I also like Leo. It uses the "li" from "Thalion." And it means "lion" without actually saying it.

Reply:We had a kitten that was not afraid of anything, he was so curious- my kids named him little Evil. After evil Knievel(sorry about the spelling) little Evil was for short. No one ever seen that name coming when they asked what his name was.

The cats in my french textbooks were always named Minou. It's pronounced "Minnow", like the fish, which is rather macabre when you think about it considering the flavors of cat food.

Some Thai (Thailand) names are:
Suah = tiger
Suah-Noi = little tiger
luk-suah = tiger cub
Singha = lion / a beer brand
Kiku = strange / odd
You can put "Ai" (pronounced "eye") in front of each of the Thai names to make it informal.
