Is there a scholorship for having a unique first name?

Is so what is it called and where could I find it? Thanks!

Is there a scholorship for having a unique first name?
Tiffany:

Never say never, but ask yourself this:

Why would someone want to take their own money and give it to a student whose sole qualifying trait is that he/she had an unusual name?

Scholarship organizations aren't giving away play money - they're giving away real money that someone earned by working or investing, and they usually give it away to reward someone for some type of potential or accomplishment.

Some scholarships reward students with great academic promise.

Some scholarships reward students with great athletic potential.

Some scholarships reward students with great artistic potential.

Some scholarships reward students who have demonstrated a laudable commitment to public service.

Some scholarships reward students who have overcome great obstacles and succeeded in life. Maybe they have a birth defect or a disability. Maybe their parents abandoned them and they grew up in foster care or a homeless shelter. Maybe they were arrested as juveniles, but turned around their lives and got solid grades in high school.

Some scholarships reward students who have expressed interest in a particular career path.

Some scholarships are designed to help members of under-represented ethnicities or populations attend college for the first time.

I don't know of any scholarships where the organizers decided that it would be kind of cool to reward people for having big noses, or ugly parents, or bad taste in clothes....or unusual first names.

What would be the point of that?
Reply:There might be, there is a lot of money just sitting there in grants / scholarships that most people dont know about.

That is something you would have to talk to your financial advisor about.
Reply:I wouldn't say all that, there is a scholarship for having freckles and one for masturbating so they give scholarships for almost no reason all the time.
