What is the most unique name you have ever heard and loved?

I love unique names that have a meaning behind them. What is the most unique name you have ever heard and just loved it? (Needs to be from a real person, not just one you have read in a book or whatever.) When you heard it first called out what did you think? What did you think of the person who had it?

I heard a Mom call out to her daughter Piper once and she looked just like a little Piper! Cute girl with long black hair. Another time it was a little boy named Loki. What a fun name!

What is the most unique name you have ever heard and loved?
Beatrix on a little girl, aged about 4. She was adorable and they were calling her Trix and Trixie. She had a sister who they were calling Georgie, I assume as a nickname for Georgina or Georgia.

I also met a woman recently who was referring to her baby as "aw-ree-ELL-ah", not sure how they were spelling it.
Reply:Theyre not unusual but i love how they look: Kendall, Karin, and Parker Report Abuse

Reply:Honestly I love my name. Its Afton. My parents actually got it from the tv show dallas. But from reasearch there is a few citys and street a river and a beautiful poem which is

Afton Water

1 Flow gently, sweet Afton, among thy green braes,

2 Flow gently, I'll sing thee a song in thy praise;

3 My Mary's asleep by thy murmuring stream,

4 Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream.

5 Thou stock-dove, whose echo resounds thro' the glen,

6 Ye wild whistling blackbirds in yon thorny den,

7 Thou green-crested lapwing, thy screaming forbear,

8 I charge you disturb not my slumbering fair.

9 How lofty, sweet Afton, thy neighbouring hills,

10 Far mark'd with the courses of clear winding rills;

11 There daily I wander as noon rises high,

12 My flocks and my Mary's sweet cot in my eye.

13 How pleasant thy banks and green valleys below,

14 Where wild in the woodlands the primroses blow;

15 There oft, as mild Ev'ning sweeps over the lea,

16 The sweet-scented birk shades my Mary and me.

17 Thy crystal stream, Afton, how lovely it glides,

18 And winds by the cot where my Mary resides,

19 How wanton thy waters her snowy feet lave,

20 As gathering sweet flowrets she stems thy clear wave.

21 Flow gently, sweet Afton, among thy green braes,

22 Flow gently, sweet river, the theme of my lays;

23 My Mary's asleep by thy murmuring stream,

24 Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream

Hmmm..I would have to say Genevieve. I think it has so much class, but I met a little girl named that and she was the cutest thing! I would have to say Graeme (pronounced like Graham) for a boy. It sounds so noble!
Reply:The most unique name I know is mine, Orpheus, one of the Greek demigods, the god of music. The story of Orpheus and Eurydice, a love story that ended badly. I have only met one other person with the same name, I was one year old and at a doctors office to get a checkup and some woman called out my name and some other kid came walking over to her. By the way, I am male.
Reply:Tarja: the first time I looked it up, I thought it was South African or something, but now it says it's not. Tarja though is so beautiful. Someone with the name Tarja Tarunen (used to be lead singer of the band Nightwish), I'm sure you could look it up there. And normally I like classic names, but Tarja I really like.
Reply:Barbria and Katana. I don't love either name, but as a person who loathes made up, "unique" names, I can deal with those two.
