What would be a good creative and unique name for a furniture store?

(particularly with modern furniture but I'll take any ideas)

What would be a good creative and unique name for a furniture store?
1) I'd ask what other qualities beyond 'modern' and 'furniture' do you want to get across. This can help you get out of rehashing the same thing name after name. Ie, expand your possible lexicon a bit.

One of the biggest considerations in expanding hte qualities you want to get across is: who is your target market / how expensive are your goods? Is it a super rare-item-pricey shop? Is it "bring-modern-o-the-masses" affordable? Somewhere in between?

Are there any other distinguishing features about your store or your service?

Your name doesn't necessarily have to provide all this info explicitly - but sometimes you can tell people things about your store in a name that would normally cost you advertising $ to explain otherwise.

2) Consider terms or ideas that the furniture you sell share beyond the "modern" term: "simple" "clean" "iconic"

3) Consider terms beyond "furniture" that includes furniture but may include other products that you may (one day) sell. Cool Name "Designs" or Cool Name "Style" rather than Cool Name "Furniture"come to mind.

4) Instead of spelling out 'modern' in a name consider using 'mod.'

5) Consider letting available domain names determine/guide your name selection. Having CoolName.com can be more beneficial than having CoolNameStore.com. Many names may seem to hve been gobbled up - but it may force you to be more creative to find thew right one.

6) Consider using terms from the history of modern furniture and/or some of its stalwarts like Le Corbusier, van der Rohe, Eames, Nelsen, Noguchi etc. I don't have any good examples here. "Molded"? Ha. Probably not.

7) Once you have a handful of terms you think you want to use spend some time here http://dictionary.com/ and here http://thesaurus.com/ to expand possible word choices.

8) If this is home furnishings (rather than including office) consider "homey" words.

9) Consider mid-century, mod lifestyle terms such as from Jazz and other shared, parallel worlds.

10) Consider a name that incorporates the feeling / idea of modern design without using any "modern" or "design" terminology. A mediocre example "A" - just a single, simple, iconic letter. "A Designs". Or modesty: "Good Designs". "Good Furniture".

11) Expanded from 10: consider single, simple word and let the description come in the tagline:

So a list:

Modernism

Mod Revival

Swing - tagline: Modern Furniture (as in the Jazz term)

Next - tagline: Modern Furniture

Color Field - tagline: Modern Furniture

Bop - tagline: Modern Furniture

Duke - tagline: Modern Furniture

Polyrhythm - tagline: Modern Furniture

Mod Designs

Mod Furniture

A Designs

Good Designs

Good Furniture
